A summary of recent criminal activity in Boardman:
March 25
Forgery: An employee with the American Automobile Association, 1275 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported a woman presented a $500 forged personal check.
Theft: Prescription medications were taken from a car at a South Avenue business.
Theft: A $400 cell phone was stolen from a Southern Park Mall kiosk.
Counterfeit: A phony $20 bill was passed at a mall kiosk.
Theft: A Shields Road woman reported medications missing from her purse.
Theft: Kaitlin E. Moran, 20, of 74 Mayflower Drive, Boardman, and a 17-year-old township girl were charged in the theft of $118 worth of cosmetics from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft: Natelia D. Dixon, 19, of 620 Griffith St., Youngstown, and 21-year-old Jessica M. Walker, 2983 Oregon Ave., Youngstown, were charged with stealing $160 worth of merchandise from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.
March 26
Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s rear windshield was damaged in the 4000 block of Glenwood Avenue.
Theft: A .25-caliber handgun was missing from a home in the 1700 block of Lynn Mar Avenue.
Theft/damage: Scotty A. Rolland, 27, was taken into custody at his residence, 919 Cook Ave., on charges of theft and criminal damaging after another Cook Avenue man had reported a $200 stereo missing from his car, which also had its dashboard damaged. Rolland was released on a summons.
March 27
Theft: Two women in their 40s stole $600 worth of clothing from The Avenue, 511 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Criminal damaging: A car’s driver’s-side door was damaged in the 60 block of Lemans Drive.
Bad check: Joseph A. Jones, 23, of 602 N. Liberty St., New Castle, Pa., faced a felony count of passing a bad check after being accused of trying to cash a $750 fraudulent money order at Checksmart, 112 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Marie A. Shinn, 40, of 401 W. Washington St., Lisbon, was charged with stealing nine articles of clothing from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall, and released on a summons.
Harassment: A Baymar Drive woman told police about receiving a pattern of unwanted calls the same two nights each week for six weeks.
Theft/criminal damaging: Two rearview mirrors were removed from a vehicle at a South Avenue dealership. Someone also caused extensive interior and exterior damage to the car.
Theft: Delena R. Williams, 18, of 5021 Aravesta Ave., Boardman, faced a charge related to $113 worth of baby clothing having been stolen from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Nearly $40 worth of merchandise was taken from Walmart, resulting in a charge against 18-year-old Erica M. Shanabarger, 243 Struthers-Liberty Road, Campbell. She was released on a summons.
Recovered property: An abandoned 2005 Nissan Armada was found in Youngstown after a man had reported it stolen at the Southern Park Mall.
March 28
Criminal mischief: Two township boys, 13 and 14, were charged after police received a complaint that someone had been tossing eggs at cars near Huntington Drive. Two drivers reported their vehicles were struck, and one chased them to a nearby residence, a report said.
Breaking and entering: Someone entered At Labs Inc., 250 DeBartolo Place, though it appeared no forced entry had been made, and nothing seemed to be missing.
Theft: Keenan T. Clark, 45, of 626 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, was arrested riding his bicycle in the 6800 block of Market Street and charged with stealing two bottles of cologne from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: Police charged 48-year-old Robert G. Brown, 1713 Howard St., Youngstown, with stealing 18 cans of an alcoholic beverage from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive. He also was wanted on four warrants, including a felony charge of cocaine possession.
March 29
Breaking and entering: Someone entered CVS Pharmacy, 6121 South Ave., through a hole in the roof and removed various drugs and narcotics.
Theft: Window frames, wire spools and other property were stolen from a construction site in the 800 block of Midlothian Boulevard.
Breaking and entering: Occurred at the Heart Center of Northeastern Ohio Inc., 250 DeBartolo Place, where money was missing from a safe. No signs of forced entry were found, however, a report said.
Theft: Medication, collectible cars, battery packs and light bulbs were removed from a vehicle at a Doral Drive store.
Theft: A $1,000 diamond ring was taken from a home in the 6400 block of Tara Drive.
Theft: A Reserve Road woman discovered a Pennsylvania temporary tag had been stolen off a vehicle.
Criminal damaging: A car in the 5100 block of Market Street sustained $500 worth of damage after its windshield was smashed.
Arrest: A traffic stop on East Midlothian Boulevard led to the arrest of 28-year-old Martrice N. Norman, 919 E. Dewey Ave., Youngstown, on a probation-violation charge.
Identity theft: A worker for a Windham Court business found out that someone pretending to be the accuser sent a series of fraudulent e-mails from a false online account and that she received three billing statements totaling about $125.
Drugs: Officers cited 20-year-old Joseph A. Schorsten, 4006 Windsor Road, during a traffic stop on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Schorsten admitted having a suspected marijuana pipe, a report showed.
Robbery: Patricia A. Hunt, 42, of 5619 Radcliffe Ave., Youngstown, was charged, accused of fighting with J.C. Penney personnel who tried to detain her after $200 worth of clothing had been stolen. Hunt also was wanted on several misdemeanor warrants.
Theft: A Youngstown man discovered $400 missing from his account at a Market Street credit union.
March 30
Criminal damaging: Balls of ice were tossed, damaging three windows to a residence in the 80 block of Leighton Avenue.
