Man taken to hospital after falling in well


HERMINIE, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man had to be flown to a hospital after he fell down a 30-foot-deep well.

Westmoreland County emergency dispatchers say the 32-year-old man fell down the well around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at a home in Herminie, about 20 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Officials say the man had managed to climb out by the time emergency workers arrived on the scene.

Authorities say the unidentified man was flown to Allegheny General Hospital. The nature of his injuries were not immediately available.
