Youngstown police seeking leads in latest fatal shooting


YOUNGSTOWN — A witness to the city’s most recent shooting death told police someone was taking pictures of the house shortly before shots were fired.

Brian Greer, 32, of Republic Avenue was shot and killed at 6:30 p.m. Monday on the city’s North Side. He had been shot once in the head and multiple times in the body. He was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Police were called to Lauderdale Avenue in regard to a black man being shot and lying on the ground. Witnesses said someone drove past the residence firing at the house.
