CANFIELD CITY

Drug paraphernalia/drug abuse: Police arrested two students at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, after being called to the school by administrators. Arrested were Robert A. Newton, 18, 5313 Willowcrest Ave., Youngstown, possession of drug paraphernalia; and Maurice A. Wallace, 18, 2042 Hemlock Court, Youngstown, drug abuse, marijuana. Police conducted a search of the vehicle of a third student who drove the other two students to school and found a plastic bag of marijuana, a multicolored pipe/bowl and wrapping papers.

AUSTINTOWN

March 22

Disorderly conduct: Police arrested Lee Lambert, 24, 6642 Abbott Street, Austintown, on a disorderly-conduct charge at state Route 46 at Notre Dame and Colgate avenues.

Telecommunications harassment: Christopher Boling, 22, 2220 E. Edgewood, New Castle, Pa. was issued a summons alleging telecommunications harassment.

Warrant: Isaac Cunningham, 29, 3860 Burkey Road, Austintown was arrested on a charge of criminal damaging.

Criminal mischief: A threat that one student would kill another was written on a girls’ bathroom wall at Lloyd Elementary School, 5705 Norquest Boulevard. Parents of both students were notified.

Lost or stolen wallet: A man’s wallet containing approximately $80 in cash, an operator’s license and three credit cards was reported lost or stolen at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

March 23

Warrant: Police arrested Christopher Hilty, 32, 4908 Norquest Blvd., on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of drug abuse of heroin.

Criminal damaging: A 1996 Pontiac was scratched in the driveway of a home in the 50 block of Kroeck Ave.

Breaking and entering: A 19-inch television with a DVD player and a laptop computer with a bag containing equipment, wires and batteries was stolen from Scotchie & Associates, 25 N. Niles-Canfield Road after a rear south entrance door was pried open.

Recovered property: An employee’s wallet and the cash and credit cards in it were recovered outside Harbor Freight, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: John Blazo, 47, 4163 New Road, Austintown, was arrested on a warrant on a charge of aggravated menacing on New Road.

Theft: Two makeup kits were reported stolen at the Split Level, 169 S. Four Mile Run Road.

Auto theft: A 1990 Pontiac Bonneville was stolen from the parking lot of apartments in the 900 block of Compass West Drive.

March 24

Theft: A woman was scammed by men dressed in construction gear and with heavy equipment who put gravel at the end of her drive and charged her $3,300 for the work at a home in the 1000 bock of S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Fraud: An unauthorized charge was made on a debit card at a home in the 1000 block of Bexley Drive.

Criminal damaging: Vehicle windows were broken in the parking lot of the 1000 block of Compass West Drive.

Burglary: Furniture was taken from a home in the 300 block of Forest Hill Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

March 25

Warrant: Police arrested Samantha J. Ward,25, 4207 Pembrook Road, on a warrant on a charge of permitting her residence to be used in a felony-drug offense — the illegal manufacture of drugs.

Warrant: Police arrested Dennis Welsh, 53, 610 Leadville Road, Youngstown, on a warrant on a charge of failure to appear on a larceny charge.

Misuse of credit card: Unauthorized charges totaling $697 were made on a credit card at Giant Eagle and Home Depot.

Warrant: Police arrested Lindsay Estes, 23, 6619 Katahdin Drive, Poland, on a warrant on a charge of complicity to commit theft.

March 26

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged in the parking lot of the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.

Theft: $35.90 in fuel was stolen from Country Fair, 1143 N. Niles-Canfield Rd.

Burglary: The door on an attached garage was forced open at a home in the 3000 block of Allendale Ave.

Criminal trespassing: Sophie L. Stefek, 36, 1600 McMyler St., Warren was arrested on a charge of criminal trespassing at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: $30 in gasoline was stolen at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

March 27

Assault: A woman was a victim of assault at Salvatores, 4831 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Brandon J. McGann, 22, 3399 Olian Ave., Warren, was arrested on a warrant on a charge of complicity to theft.

Telecommunications harassment: A man is accused of harassing two women at a home in the 300 block of N. Edgehill Ave.

Theft: A purse was stolen from an auto at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

March 28

Criminal damaging: A window and a television were damaged at a home in the 20 block of N. Wickliffe Circle.

Theft: A GPS, camera and cash were stolen from a vehicle at the Comfort Inn, 5425 Clarkins Drive. The vehicle door and trunk were forced open.

Criminal damaging: The tailgate of a vehicle was scratched in the parking lot of apartments in the 4000 block of Deercreek Court.

Menacing: A man was a victim of menacing at a home in the 700 block of Oberlin Place.

Recovered property: A debit card was recovered at Huntington Bank, 6010 Mahoning Ave.

Disorderly conduct: Billie J. Schweikart, 30, of 987 Compass West was issued a summons charging disorderly conduct at apartments in the 900 block of Compass West.

Theft: A debit card was stolen at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
