Fire officials are investigating a blaze that destroyed a North Croton Avenue day-care center and the apartments above it.

City firefighters were called about 12:05 a.m. Sunday to God’s Little Angels Group Daycare, 819 Croton. The day care center was closed and all of the occupants of the apartments escaped without injury.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 5 a.m. A cause hasn’t been determined, but the building was totally destroyed, fire officials said.
