Church selected for Johnston-Wood summer wedding

Gary and Lydia Johnston of 3414 Darbyshire Drive are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Laurie Johnston of 8724 Millwheel Drive, Reynoldsburg, to William Wood, son of Christopher and Denise Wood, all of 5577 Parker Hill Lane, Dublin.

A graduate of Malone College in Canton with a degree in middle childhood education, Miss Johnston is a seventh-grade science and reading teacher for the Licking Heights Local School District in Pataskala.

Mr. Wood is working toward a degree in computer science at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.

The couple will exchange vows during an open ceremony at 1:30 p.m. July 31 at Highway Tabernacle Church in Austintown. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception at Ciminero’s Banquet Center in Niles.
