SENIOR CITIZENS | Meetings, activities announced


1418 Auxiliary will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at Brownstone Court, 50 Struthers-Coitsville Road. John Texter will preside. Cancellations must be made by Monday to Sandy Redeske at (330) 755-5192. Any received after that date will not be accepted. Birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. Cards and bingo will be played. Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Betsy Koneval will preside, and dinner will be served; cost is $10. Bingo will be played. Greeters will be Dorothy Wood and Carolyn Steiner. New members are invited; Cornersburg residency is not required. Guests are also welcome by calling (330) 793-7755. Annual dues are $5. Erie-Mahoning Valley Railroad Association will meet at noon Tuesday at Belleria Pizzeria, 3460 S. Meridian Road, Cornersburg. Reports will be given, and birthdays will be recognized. All railroad retirees and their spouses are welcome.

Girard Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center. After the business session there will be games.

Lowellville Seniors has changed the next meeting from Good Friday to noon April 9 in the conference room at the city hall.

Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Mary Murar will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. Retired Registered Nurses will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4560 Canfield Road for a casserole luncheon. Members whose last names begin with the initials A-G are to take desserts; H-O, entrees; and P-Z, salads. All area retired nurses are welcome.

St. Christine Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the parish center with Ruth Infante presiding. Hostesses will be Ann Mae Cannizaro, Mary Lou Morley, Phil Constantine and Thersa Seidel. There will be attendance prizes, a 50-50 raffle and cards and bingo.
