Pokrivnaks mark 25th anniversary by renewing vows

BOARDMAN

John and Cathy Pokrivnak of Boardman were honored by family and friends as they marked their 25th wedding anniversary during a celebration at Boardman United Church where they renewed their marriage vows in the presence of the Rev. Ash Welch.

Afterward, their children, Steve Baytos of Elyria, Susan (Ed) Carosella of Salem, David Pokrivnak of Youngstown, and foster son, Andrew Peterson of Elyria, welcomed guests at a catered dinner honoring the couple in the church fellowship hall. Also participating were their grandchildren, Stephen Baytos and Sydney Baytos IV of Elyria; Morgan Baytos, BJ Schmitt, and Blake and Caine Carosella, all of Salem.

The couple, who were married March 3, 1985, will continue the celebration during a Caribbean cruise in the fall.
