Mr., Mrs. Buggs to celebrate 50th anniversary

YOUNGSTOWN

Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Buggs Jr., 1364 Scioto Ave., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 2 during a 6 p.m. dinner party at their home.

Joining them for the special event will be relatives and invited guests.

Their children are Edward J. Buggs III of Columbus, Jonathan D. Buggs Sr. of Canton and Kelly Anderson of Youngstown. The couple have six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Buggs and the former Bethaline Covington were married April 2, 1960, in Friendship Baptist Church, Girard. They are members of Union Baptist Church.

Mrs. Buggs retired in 1990 from Gateways to Better Living in Austintown, where she was a licensed practical nurse.

Mr. Buggs served with the U.S. Air Force. He was a foreman with General Motors in Lordstown before retiring in 1992.
