What better way is there to show someone you care than by a K.I.S.S.? West Boulevard Elementary honored the special people in their lives through their K.I.S.S. (Kids Invite Someone Special) program March 16. First-graders invited parents, grandparents, siblings and friends to a special musical performance. Students sang various animated selections pausing between songs for students to share how their special someone helps them grow. Students were even able to practice their acting ability as several disguised themselves as farm animals on old McDonald’s farm.

After the performance, guests were shown the decorated hallways showcasing handwritten notes from each student explaining how the special people help them grow. Refreshments, including cookies and juice, were served while students socialized with their honored guests. K.I.S.S. is an annual event that features a different grade each year. It gives students the opportunity to publicly thank the special people in their lives while working on their musical talents at the same time.
