Motorcyclist injured in Warren

WARREN — A motorcyclist is in critical condition at St. Elizabeth Health Center today after he hit a utility pole in front of 290 W. Market St., the office of the Greater Warren-Youngstown Urban League.

The motorcyclist, who has not been identified, was eastbound on Market when he lost control of the motorcycle near a curve in the road near Thumm’s bicycle shop at 5:02 p.m. Wednesday.

The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was face down on the sidewalk in front of the Urban League when emergency personnel arrived, and was not moving. He had suffered a head injury.

Warren police had not completed the accident report as of this morning.
