Boardman: The D.D. & Velma Davis Family YMCA is helping to teach area children what the Easter holiday is all about during its program, “The True Meaning of Easter,” Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Activities include a Resurrection Egg hunt to help children learn about the true meaning of Easter, stories, three different crafts to make and take, plus a video and snack time. Boardman: Egg Drop 2010 Saturday will be at Boardman High School, Glenwood Ave., sponsored by Crossroads Church in Youngstown. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. Hunt will begin at 11 a.m. for ages 3 to 5. The first drop will be at 11:30 a.m. for grades K through second and second drop at 12:15 p.m. for grades 3-5. Boardman: Dinner with the Easter Bunny at the Lariccia Family Community Center at Boardman Park will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 1. Tickets may be purchased at the park office from 9 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets are $6 for Boardman residents and $7 for nonresidents. Under 18 months are free. Boardman: Easter egg and goodie bag hunt at Master’s Pavilion at Boardman Park on April 3. Bring your baskets and arrive early. Dress for the weather. Boardman: An “EGGstraordinary” hunt will be April 3 at Glenwood Christian Fellowship, 7872 Glenwood Ave., directly across from Boardman High School. Registration begins at noon and the hunt will begin at 1 p.m. and will feature more than 2,000 candy filled plastic eggs in an unusual scavenger hunt. Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten at 1 p.m.; first and second graders as 2 p.m. and third and fourth graders at 3 p.m. There will be refreshments, take pictures with the Easter Bunny and chances to win a bike. Canfield: Easter egg hunt at 5:30 p.m. March 31 at Canfield Presbyterian Church, 140 W. Main St. (U.S. Route 224) for children age 3 through fourth-graders. Supper will be served for a suggested donation of $5 for adults and $2.50 for children. Extras: get a photo with a real rabbit and crafts.

Girard: Easter egg hunt at Girard City Gym, 100 W. Main St., at 2 p.m. Saturday for children age 3 through 9 years old who reside in Girard. Sponsored by City of Girard Parks and Recreation Dept.
Hubbard: Easter egg hunt, 10 a.m. April 3 at Coalburg United Methodist Church, 1906 Wick Campbell Road. It will take place rain or shine and is for ages up to 18.
Liberty: Liberty Township will sponsor a visit with the Easter Bunny at 10 a.m. Saturday at the township building, 1315 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, for children up to 12 years old. Toys and candy will be distributed.
Niles: A community family Easter egg hunt will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Valley Church, 2055 Pleasant Valley Road. There will be food, pictures with the Easter Bunny, music, bounce house, games, clowns, face painting, ballooning, prize giveaways that include a boy and girl bike and more. (330) 539-6582.

Columbiana County
East Palestine: East Palestine Rotary Club will have its annual Easter egg hunt at 11:30 a.m. Saturday (rain date April 3) at East Palestine City Park. There will be four age groups: pre-school, kindergarten and first grade, second and third grade, and fourth and fifth grade. They will look for eggs, candy, gift certificates and small toys. There will be more than 5,000 pieces of candy, small trinkets and prizes.
East Palestine: An all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast will be offered by the Rotary Club at the Community Center at the City Park from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday for all ages. The Easter Bunny will be at the breakfast. Cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children. They will offer pictures with the Easter Bunny from 10:30 to 11:30 at $8 each. (330) 426-4545.
Salem: Annual children’s Easter egg hunt from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Sterling House, 1916 S. Lincoln Ave., for categories, newborn to 2, 3 to 5, and 6 to 7. There will be a grand prize awarded in each category. There also will be a “guess the number of Easter eggs,” seed planting and coloring pages.
