Chismark-Hicks engagement told wedding planned

GIRARD

The engagement of Nicholl Renee Chismark, 811 Hicks Farm Road, Staley, N.C., a daughter of Tom and Debi Chismark of Girard, and Ben Ray Hicks, 1116 Browns Crossroads Road, Staley, a son of the late Ray and Connie Hicks, is announced by her parents.

Miss Chismark graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She is a first-grade teacher with Asheboro City Schools in North Carolina.

Mr. Hicks earned an associate degree in fire protection technology from Guilford Technical Community College and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree at North Carolina A&T University, both in Greensboro. He is a firefighter with Asheboro Fire Department.

The couple have chosen The Harvest House in Ramseur, N.C., for their June 5 wedding and reception. Invitations will be issued for both.
