Garden Forum of Greater Youngstown is accepting applications for a $500 scholarship.
The scholarship will be awarded a student who will be majoring in horticulture this fall at college or a student attaining a degree in landscape design.
The deadline to apply is April 1.

Commercial Intertech Retirees to meet
YOUNGSTOWN
Commercial Intertech Retirees will meet at noon Tuesday at the fellowship hall of St. Mark Church with Lou Pizzuto presiding.
Reports will be given by Gloria Wielbruda and Roberta Shick, and lunch will be by Jenny Armeni and George McClelland.

Bowlathon planned as benefit for kids
BOARDMAN
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mahoning Valley has planned an annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake Bowlathon from 4 to 7 for April 17 at Camelot Lanes.
Bowlers are encouraged to secure a team of six people and to collect pledges for participating. Singles wishing to take part will be placed on a team.
Each team member who collects $75 or more will receive a T-shirt, will be eligible for more than 100 prizes and will be treated to food, free bowling and shoes.

Youngsters invited to become gardeners
YOUNGSTOWN
Young people between the ages of 10 and 16 or those who have completed a two-year Veggie Program at Fellows Riverside Gardens are invited to take part in a Youth Gardening Program scheduled to begin April 17 at the Akron Children’s Hospital in Boardman.
The cost for program is $15 for a single youth or $25 for a family.
