March 5

Barking dogs: Police issued Donald W. Fouse, 29, 535 S. Hillside Drive a summons for barking and howling dogs. There had been nine complaints at his residence about barking dogs in 2009.

March 6

Telecommunications harassment: A resident in the 300 block of Shadydale Drive reported receiving calls from the previous phone subscriber. The calls won’t stop and are becoming harassing in nature.

Drug abuse: Police arrested Lamont D. Vales, 34, 6700 Foreman Ave., Cleveland on charges of drug abuse after finding a plastic bag containing approximately 94 grams of marijuana on him. He was walking westbound on East Main Street near Giant Eagle.

March 8

Possession of deadly weapon at school: A fifth grade female student at Canfield Middle School, 42 Wadsworth Street was referred to juvenile court after a teacher found she had a folding knife with a three-inch blade in her backpack.

March 10

Bad check: A check was returned for insufficient funds at IGA, 8 N. Broad Street.
