Youth center opening Sunday

YOUNGSTOWN

The public is invited to join in the celebration of the new Youth Connection Facility at Metro Assembly of God church at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

City council members and South Avenue Area Neighborhood Development Initiative will join church members to cut the ribbon for the center, at 2536 South Ave. Refreshments will be served.

The church recently acquired the property and converted it into a youth center that houses the church’s teen and young adult ministry.

It is also available for block watch and other community meetings.
