“Lucky Ten Day” event to benefit Easter Seals

YOUNGSTOWN

Sandi’s Family Haircare will hold their 13th Annual “Lucky Ten Day” event Saturday at its Youngstown location on Mahoning Avenue.

Haircuts, styles, and manicures will be priced for $10, and a raffle will be held to give away over 50 prizes. Refreshments will be provided.

All proceeds benefit Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties.

Evening of laughter will save the animals

The Lemon Grove, 122 W. Federal St., will sponsor an evening of live comedy from 7 to 10 p.m. March 26 as a benefit for Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary. The cover charge is $3.

Featured will be Dave Biscella, Jim Cebla, Matt Liller, Jason Delfosse, Shane Herman, Dan Nelson, Larry Simpson and Chris Wineland.

Elderhostel program to be at Park Vista

YOUNGSTOWN

Park Vista Retirement Community will host a Day of Discovery program, “The National Park Service: An American Legacy,” from 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the gathering room, 1216 Fifth Ave.

This Exploritas (lifelong learning) program was created and developed by Elderhostel.

The cost for the program is $46 and includes lunch and parking.

Library to present couponing program

HUBBARD

Hubbard Public Library, 436 W. Liberty St., will present a program on saving money, expanding the household budget and coping with today’s economy at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Mary Jane O’Hara will explain ways to stretch dollars, and turn clipping and clicking into dollars. She will explain online savings, rebates, sales and other ways to save money and to turn deals into dollars.

Those attending are encouraged to take coupons, even expired coupons, which can be used by those in the military.

Card players invited to games, luncheon

POLAND

Shepherd of the Valley will have its monthly card game from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 31 at its Poland location, 301 W. Western Reserve Road.

All card players are invited to attend. There will be a buffet lunch and a door prize.
