Weathersfield School District is embarking on a push toward a paperless operation.

The board plans to go through agendas at board meetings via a computer in the meeting room. A copy of the agenda will be printed afterward for those who ask.

Schools Superintendent Damon Dohar contended that the agenda is not a public record until it is adopted. E-mail is also going to become a lot more active for the district. Forms that teachers have to file will be placed on the Internet for them to complete.

Board President Tracey Thomas said board members are also asking constituents to e-mail communications to board members through Neomin.com.

Also Wednesday, the board approved the retirement of six teachers and one classified employee on a one-time offering of an early-retirement incentive that will pay teachers $13,500 in two installments over two years. Teachers must retire by June 30.

The retirees are Lisa Tucciarone and Carol Wick, sixth grade, middle school; Mary Lou Rhoads, high school computer/business teacher; Carol Miller, high school special-education; Darlene Rice, high school science; and Pamela Plesea, high school and middle school art.; and payroll and account clerk Marie Moransky,
