Local man reaches reality show finale

Eric Chine started out as one of 24 bachelors competing for supermodel and Internet sensation Cindy Margolis’ heart on the Fox Reality Channel series “Seducing Cindy.” The Austintown native and recent Kent State graduate is now one of three remaining bachelors. The final episode will air at 9 p.m. Saturday.

The Water Street Tavern in downtown Kent, where Chine is employed, will host a party Saturday night to watch the show. Admission is free. Chine will appear at the party, along with fellow finalist Leighton Stultz.

In “Seducing Cindy,” which began in January, the bachelors participated in competitions to impress Margolis — including designing lingerie. In another episode, the bachelors were told Margolis had been in a terrible accident and was left disfigured and in possible need of organ donations. In the most recent episode, the final six contestants were introduced to Margolis’ 7-year-old son, Nicholas.
