YOUNGSTOWN

WFMJ Channel 21 once again is challenging area school -hildren to help feed hungry families.

The annual Harvest for Hunger School Challenge is open to all elementary and middle schools in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties. The school that collects the most pounds of food during March will win a pizza party from Wedgewood Pizza.

Harvest for Hunger is a monthlong food-and-funds drive that takes place each March to help replenish food-bank shelves during the spring and summer months when donations taper off. All food collected and funds raised help feed hungry families in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties. For more information, go to www.mahoningvalleysecondharvest.org.

To register a school for the challenge, please visit www.wfmj.com and click on the “Project: Feed Our Valley” icon. Food must be delivered to Second Harvest Food Bank, 2805 Salt Springs Road no later than April 2.
