Positive behavior program gets donation

Law firm Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell Ltd. has contributed $500 to support the Positive Behavior Support Program at the Willard K-8 building.

The program was established three years ago and has shown promising results, including higher attendance, said Ed Ashcroft, lead principal.

For example, the number of students qualifying to attend a recent “beach party” was up 40 percent from the number that qualified for a similar event a year ago.

“We’re working to reward those students who consistently show positive behavior and good attendance,” he said.
