Goodwill industries seeks donations

Most locations of Goodwill Industries are in need of donated clothing, housewares and other items. Stocks of the items were depleted during the recent inclement weather, and small kitchen appliances, glasses, dishes and home decor items are in short supply

Goodwill also accepts computers and computer equipment for the Dell Reconnect recycling program.

Revenue from the sale of donated items funds job training programs and employment services to those in need.

Goodwill is urging those with clothing or household goods they no longer need to take them to one of the following centers:

Boardman — Boardman Plaza, 285 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman,

Calcutta —15765 state Route 170, Calcutta.

Hermitage — Hermitage Hills Plaza, 2986 E. State St.

Liberty —2747 Belmont Ave.

New Castle — Shenango Towne Center, 2611 Ellwood Road.

Salem — 187 S. Broadway.

Warren— Warren Plaza, 2083 Elm Road.

Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries employes and provides vocational rehabilitation services to those with disabilities and other barriers to employment, and also provides radio reading and other social services.
