Dana recital to have music of Chick Corea

YOUNGSTOWN

The Dana School of Music will present a faculty recital at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Bliss Hall Room 2222.

Glenn Schaft, drums; Dave Morgan, bass; Nathan Douds, piano; and alumnus David Kana, saxophone, will perform selections by Chick Corea. The concert is free to the public.

A free comedy show featuring ANT, with opening act Erica Watson, will be at 7 p.m. Friday in the Penn State-Shenango campus auditorium. ANT, a regular guest on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “The Tyra Banks show,” has appeared on all five seasons of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.” He is the host of VH1’s “Celebrity Fit Club.”

Fruit farm festival

CANFIELD

White House Fruit Farm will present White House Weekend on Saturday and Sunday. The annual event will include a variety of food vendors, including Guy’s BBQ, Troyer Cheese, DiRusso’s Sausage, Walnut Creek Meats & Cheeses, Fowler Mills and Dutch Valley Foods. A large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, deli and bakery items and locally produced maple syrup will be offered in the farm market, which is 10 minutes south of Canfield on Route 62. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. March 21.

Earth Day art show to be at Casal Aveda
