Protesters line street outside Strongsville for Obama speech

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — Opponents of President Barack Obama’s health care proposals turned out early to protest outside a suburban Cleveland recreation center he plans to visit.

Protesters stretched for several blocks leading to the president’s this afternoon speaking location in Strongsville.

They waved to passing vehicles and held signs including “Don’t stick me with your Obamacare” and “Kill the bill.”

Administration officials have predicted that legislation aimed at remaking the health care system will clear the House by the end of the week.

Protester Gail Larrow of Strongsville says the current system has flaws but the president’s proposals aren’t the right solution.
