St. Christine Church was the setting on Oct. 24, 2009, for the wedding of Nicole Marie Woodall, daughter of Joseph and Carmela Woodall of Youngstown, and William John Palkovic, son of Mark and Cheryl Palkovic of Austintown.

Monsignor. David Rhodes officiated at the noon ceremony, and a reception followed at Mount Carmel Hall, Youngstown. After a honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple live in Austintown.

The bride wore a strapless ivory A-line gown enhanced with crystal beading on the bodice and chapel train.

The honor attendants were Valerie Goblinger and Stacey McClelland. Bridesmaids were Lori Lisi, Sherry Rutter, Chrissy Palkovic, Diana Wolf, Jen Pomaro, Terri Woodall, Katie Young and Meghan Sambroak, and junior bridesmaid was Kaitlin Goss. The attendants wore amber gowns.

Mike McMahon and Steve Marinelli were best men, and groomsmen were Joe Lisi, Brian McClelland, Jason Fabek, Jeff Fisher, Kevin Schertzer, Joe Woodall and Ray Betts. Junior groomsman was Nicholas Rutter, and ring bearers were Jacob Rutter, Mason Lisi and Daniel McClelland.

The bride and groom earned bachelor’s degrees at Youngstown State University, hers in social work and his in finance. She is a front-end manager with Giant Eagle in Austintown, and he is a broadband premises specialist with Armstrong Utilities and a firefighter/EMT with Austintown Fire Department.
