Good morning
Good morning
Get up and swing
Swing dance lessons are available starting at 6:30 p.m. today at the Weathersfield Township fire station on state Route 46 in Mineral Ridge. It costs $5, and you must be at least 18 to participate.
Getting kids ‘outdoorsy’
Do you want to see your children connect with nature instead of the Internet?
The Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation District does, and it will have a program during what it’s calling the “green hour” from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today at the Trumbull County Agriculture and Family Education Center, 520 W. Main St., to get them started.
The first-time program is also designed for parents and others to enjoy nature along with the kids, said Amy Reeher, SWCD watershed coordinator.
The event will kick off National Wildlife Week.
An early start
For those of you who can’t wait till Wednesday to start your St. Paddy’s partying, O’Donold’s Irish Pub and Grille in Austintown has just the thing for you: Searson, a musical trio that plays “Celtic-pop” music. The Canadian women begin their show at 7 p.m. today. For a little wilder sound, Hoss and the Juggernauts play at 8 p.m. at Tully’s Pub & Grille, 101 Chestnut Ave. in Sharon. Tully’s is part of the old Three by the River complex.
So sharp
To show off how sharp you and your friends are, visit Irish Bob’s Pub where team trivia — along with karaoke by Simply Ed — starts at 9 p.m. Irish Bob’s is at 3602 South Ave., on Youngstown’s South Side.
KIDS EVENT
Vendors are encouraged to rent a table for the Kids Resale event to be 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 Meridian Road. The rental fee is $20 for an 8-by-8-foot space with an 8-foot table.
The deadline for making a reservation is, according to sponsors, today — or until all tables are sold.
Anyone interested in renting space or wanting more information should contact Mary Boyle (330) 979-3288 or e-mail kidsresale@yahoo.com.
