SENIOR SIDELIGHTS


Austintown Local Schools will host an Austintown Senior Citizens Dinner at 4 p.m. March 30 at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive. The cost will be $2 at the door. Reservations are required and are to be made before March 26 by calling (330) 797-3900, ext. 1501.

Girard Multi-Generational Center, 433 Trumbull Ave., Girard, has planned the following events: Available each Monday through Friday, coffee bar, fitness and computer cafe at 8:30 a.m.; Monday, knitting and crocheting at 10 a.m. and a meal program at 2:30 p.m.; Tuesday, nutrition/healthy living and yoga at 10 a.m., pilates at 11:15, St. Patrick’s Day potluck from noon to 2 p.m. and yoga at 5; Wednesday, health screening at 10 a.m., meal program at 2:30 p.m. and yoga at 6; Thursday, yoga at 10 a.m., book club at 10:30, pilates at 11:15, meal program at 2:30 p.m. and yoga at 5; Friday; Ladies Forum Group at 10 a.m., tai chi at noon and meal program at 2:30 p.m.; and Saturday, computer cafe and fitness at 9 a.m. and basketball camp at 10.

Howland SCOPE art class will host two portrait classes with guest artist Larry James from 10 a.m. to noon Monday and March 22. (No experience required to attend), and will sponsor a bus to the 41st National Quilting Association Quilt Show June 17 in Columbus. Departure will be 7:30 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. The cost is $40.
