Barkers observe 50th anniversary with their family

The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Barker Jr. of Hubbard was celebrated this past December during a family gathering that took place in Sun City, Ariz.

Hosts for the event were the couple’s children and their spouses, Sam Barker and Mary Barker, and Susanne and Bill Leone, all of Canfield.

There are seven grandchildren in the family Sam, Justin, Alex and Haylee Barker, and Sydney, Dominic and Nicole Leone.

The former June West and Mr. Barker were married Dec. 12, 1959, in Grace United Methodist Church in Youngstown.

Mr. Barker, who retired in 2001, and his wife, who retired in 2006, are the owners of West and Barker Inc. in Niles.
