St. Charles eighth-grade girls win title

Neighbors | Submitted.The St. Charles eighth-grade girls basketball team hasn't lost a league game in four years with a 64-0 record. The St. Charles eighth-grade Lady Lions completed an undefeated season by finishing 15-0 and winning the Mahoning-Trumbull Catholic Conference Division I championship.

St. Charles defeated the St. Nicholas Hornets 50-20 in the title game Feb. 21 at Ursuline High School. Jamie DiDomenico and Jenna Kuczek led the team with 15 points, while Briana Fonderlin and Dominique Cicchi contributed six points.

During the regular season, the Lady Lions’ average margin of victory was 26 points. This team is an amazing 64-0 in league play over the past four years.
