SPELLING BEE LIVE: Miglets wins

She finished third the last two years, but this time it was Julia Miglets' turn in the spotlight.

The Springfield Intermediate School eighth grader is the grand champion of the 77th Vindicator Regional Spelling Bee competition held today on the campus of Youngstown State University.

She will represent the Mahoning Valley in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., at the end of May. Her trip will be underwritten by The Vindicator.
