Parents: Learn how to keep your kids safe online

Springfield Township Police Department’s Juvenile Diversion Program is offering a free Internet safety program from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Springfield Intermediate School auditorium.

The program is designed to assist parents in protecting their children while using the internet. The program will include such topics as sexting, cyberbullying, e-mailing, instant messaging, video/photo sharing and parental controls.

Kathleen Nichols, youth and juvenile program director from the Ohio attorney general’s office, will be the guest speaker. There also will be vendors to provide free educational material.
