Mahoning Valley Flyers take second place

The Mahoning Valley Flyers, a travel basketball team from Boardman, recently finished second at the Lordstown Tournament, falling 43-40 to Howland in the title game.

The Flyers defeated Austintown, Lordstown, Champion and Boardman Maroon to advance to the finals.

The team consists of players in fourth, fifth and sixth grade at Market Street Elementary, West Boulevard Elementary, Boardman Center Middle and Boardman Glenwood Middle School.
