The sounds of laughter and patty-cake filled the room as a group of Canfield babies and their parents gathered for the Canfield Public Library’s monthly Baby Brilliant program for infants Mar. 8.

Children, ages 6-23 months, listened to stories and sang songs under the tutelage of Canfield’s children’s librarian Jane Adams.

The infant Baby Brilliant program, “Bonding With Babies and Books,” features age-appropriate books, songs, games and activities designed to help children become successful readers.

The program is one of the library’s three Baby Brilliant classes, which aim to teach young children pre-reading, language and listening skills.
