AMS athletes earn hardware at powerlifting meet

Three Austintown Middle School eighth-graders recorded big results at the 2010 Columbiana Invitational Power Meet Saturday.

In the event, the junior varsity division had three weight classes.

In the middleweight class, Zack Miller took second to earn a silver medal.

Also in the middleweight class, Drake Leash won the third-placea bronze medal.

In the lightweight division, Brett Weidenthal also picked up a bronze medal.

Schools from the tri-county area were represented at the powerlifting meet.
