Shooting victim may end up in trouble

YOUNGSTOWN — A 19-year-old city man was shot and taken to an area hospital for treatment, but he may be the one facing charges.

Police were called to the 1300 block of Park Vista Drive on the East Side for a shooting just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police found the 19-year-old victim shot in the back.

The man gave his name to officers and was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment. Officers interviewed the man and realized the name he had given was false.

The shooting victim has an active warrant for receiving stolen property and two warrants for carrying a concealed weapon.
