A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard, Liberty and Girard:

HUBBARD

March 4

Menacing: Police charged Michael Miner, no information provided, with aggravated menacing after an employee of a West Liberty Street store reported Miner had knocked over items and made a comment about having a gun after becoming upset that he was unable to get his medication.

Fraud: A Lloyd Street man reported the theft of funds via the Internet.

March 5

Theft: An official with Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave., reported the theft of school property.

March 6

Menacing: An East Liberty Street man told officers two neighbors threatened to shoot his dog.

March 7

Theft: Police picked up Jeremy L. Gray on a felony warrant from Hubbard. No information was available on Gray.

Criminal damaging: Someone placed plastic wrap around and damaged a vehicle in the 300 block of Elmwood Drive.

March 8

Fraud: A township man reported the fraudulent use of his credit card.

Arrest: Youngstown police handed Cornelius Murray, no information given, to Hubbard authorities. He was wanted on a warrant and housed at the Trumbull County Jail.

LIBERTY

March 4

Arrest: James Wyckoff, 54, of 944 state Route 193, Vienna, was taken into custody in the 6700 block of Belmont Avenue. Wyckoff was wanted on a warrant and taken to the Trumbull County Jail.

Arrest: Authorities picked up 21-year-old Dustin L. Bennett, 133 Lafayette St., Youngstown, at the Mahoning County jail. He was wanted by township police on charges of theft and obstructing official business.

Robbery: Angelo A. Dourlas, 47, of 2504 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, was charged after $71 worth of property was stolen from Wal-Mart, 200 Goldie Road. Dourlas, who also was wanted on a larceny count, struggled with store personnel who tried to detain him, a report said.

Auto theft: Police charged 37-year-old Vincent L. Franklin, 2035 Ohio Ave., with receiving stolen property after a Youngstown woman said she had followed him to the 6700 block of Belmont Avenue after he stole her 1999 Chevrolet minivan.

Theft: Two 17-year-old Girard girls were charged, accused of taking clothing and a wristwatch from Wal-Mart.

Theft: Both license plates were removed from a car in the 3000 block of Northgate Road.

Criminal damaging: Two screens were torn from a window at a residence in the 1100 block of Timbercreek Drive.

March 5

Theft: Fernando L. Pacheco, 50, of 2978 Roosevelt Drive, Youngstown, was charged with stealing clothing and a crystal serving dish from Goodwill Industries Inc., 2747 Belmont Ave.

Identity theft: An Academy Drive man found out the last four digits of his Social Security number had been used to access his account and fraudulently obtain two cell phones. The crime was traced to a woman in Richton Park, Ill., a report said.

March 6

Arrest: A traffic stop near Colonial Drive resulted in the arrest of 50-year-old Tyrone Colmon, 1738 Atkinson Ave., Youngstown, who was wanted on a warrant from the city.

Drugs: James Patterson, 24, of 430 Division St., Youngstown, was charged with drug abuse and possession of criminal tools after having been pulled over near Gypsy Lane. A digital scale and three bags of suspected marijuana were discovered, a report showed.

March 7

Arrest: The Ohio State Highway Patrol handed 47-year-old Cassandra A. Bradway, 1764 Market St., Youngstown, to township police. She was wanted on a charge of failure to appear in court.

March 8

Aggravated menacing: Officers received a report that a student at W.S. Guy Middle School, 4115 Shady Road, had become angry and threatened to burn down the school.

Assault: A 15-year-old boy waiting for a school bus near Tuttle Lane reported a boy, 17, kicked the accuser in the right hip area, causing a slight bruise.

Theft: Daryl G. Brown, 54, of 54 Sycamore Drive, Youngstown, was charged in the theft of aspirin and deodorant from Dollar General, 3551 Belmont Ave.

Theft: A man stole four boxes of medication from Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.

Theft: A Holly Drive woman told police that five foreign companies made a total of $2,394 worth of unauthorized withdrawals from her checking account.

Assault: A man alleged a server at a Belmont Avenue restaurant slapped him when he playfully teased a co-worker.

Breaking and entering: Took place in the 2400 block of Tibbetts-Wick Road. Stolen from a shed were a power blower, a chainsaw and an air compressor, for a $690 loss.

GIRARD

March 7

Weapons: Police took two firearms and two boxes of ammunition for safekeeping after an Elruth Court woman alleged her boyfriend had made threats and when the accuser wanted officers to accompany her as she prepared to move.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: An East Kline Street woman said her intoxicated boyfriend took her car without permission.

Burglary: In the 100 block of East Liberty Street, where an Xbox 360 system and several Xbox games were taken. The loss came to $440.

March 8

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a home in the 500 block of East Kline Street through a basement window and removed copper plumbing.

Drugs: Authorities investigated a suspicious person near Illinois Avenue and charged Gary L. McCann of Girard with possession of criminal tools and drug-abuse instruments. Found were a hypodermic needle and syringe, as well as tools likely used to strip copper from homes, a report said.
