Man kills woman, then himself, on I-75

LEBANON, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a man who brought flowers to his ex-girlfriend’s home fatally stabbed her, then died of self-inflicted wounds after an Interstate 75 chase in southwest Ohio.

The woman died at a hospital after being stabbed at her apartment in Lebanon on Wednesday evening. Police say the man stabbed himself repeatedly after Warren County deputies ended a subsequent high-speed chase by flattening his tires with a “stop stick.”

They say speeds reached 130 mph Wednesday night in the chase of his Chevrolet Camaro some 30 to 40 miles north of Cincinnati.

The man died after being taken to a hospital by helicopter

Authorities didn’t immediately release names. Neighbors say the couple recently had split up.
