The Visiting Nurse Association, 518 E. Indianola Ave., is offering a free clinic/health screening from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday. Screenings will include weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, and medication review.
Getting healthy

Humility of Mary Health Partners and New Bethel Baptist Church are sponsoring a two-part program aimed at getting people healthy.
The program begins with health screenings, a presentation on cancer and a light lunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 27 at New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman St., Youngstown. Part two, at Newport Library from 4 to 5 p.m. April 9, is for participants to get test result.

Health at Home
YOUNGSTOWN
A free Health at Home program is from 11 a.m. to noon or 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. March 31 at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
The program teaches self-care and how to make health decisions using Health at Home Æ, a book of step-by-step instructions for over 200 health problems. Participants receive a free book, plus instruction and practice on how to use the book.

Day of Discovery
YOUNGSTOWN
Park Vista Retirement Community will host a Day of Discovery program titled “The National Park Service: An American Legacy,” created and developed by Elderhostel, on March 30 from 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave. Residents and community residents are invited.

Health fair
ROOTSTOWN
Students from Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy’s American Medical Student Association are sponsoring a health fair, “The Body and Beyond” on March 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Ralph Regula Conference Center on the College’s Rootstown campus, 4209 State Route 44, Rootstown, Ohio.
The health fair, which is free and open to the public, includes free health screenings, an anatomy lab, expert presentations on important health topics, medication review, and special activities for children. Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase. A special kids corner will include interactive demonstrations, fun games, fire safety education, anti-drug education and free frozen yogurt.

Women in Touch
“Strength Training: Lifting the Limits of Aging” is the topic for Women in Touch programs sponsored by Humility of Mary Health Partners. The programs are from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at two locations: March 25, Leo’s Ristorante, 7042 East Market St., Howland; and March 30, Mr. Anthony’s, 7440 South Ave., Boardman. The cost of $18 per person includes dinner. Continuing education credits are available for nursing, social work and dietitian/technicians.
