Man indicted in South Side stabbing

A Mahoning County grand jury has handed up more than 30 indictments this week, including a murder indictment involving a South Side stabbing.
Darold Lee Shorter, 42, was indicted on one count of murder and one count of possession of cocaine. He is in the county jail on a $1.1 million bond.
Shorter is charged with the murder of Lamont Brown, 33, of West Earle Avenue. The two men lived on the same street a short distance apart.
Officers found Brown dead in his home Jan. 28 after he had been discovered by a female friend. He had stab wounds to his chest, neck, back and face.
The grand jury also indicted these people on these charges:

Larry McHellon, 23, West Chalmers Avenue, receiving stolen property.

Samuel Cuadrado, 25, Gordon Street, Campbell, felonious assault.
Christine Petroskey, 33, 10th Street, Campbell, felonious assault.
Melvin D. Johnson III, 18, Clay Street, two counts of felonious assault.
Terrance Edmonds, 22, Erie Street, domestic violence and burglary.
Phillip F. Fuzell, 55, Wilson Avenue, felonious assault, failure to comply with an officer, illegal possession of a weapon and carrying concealed weapons.
Terrance D. Craig, 19, Freedom Avenue, Campbell, aggravated robbery and illegal possession of a weapon.
Richard Jackson, 22, North Turner Road, Austintown, bribery.
