Poland takes third in math competition

Poland Middle School students competed in this year’s Math Counts competition at YSU Feb. 22.

The PMS team came in third out of 27 schools and will be competing at the state level in Columbus Saturday.

The team members are Nick Lipari, Marissa Gray, Devin Beaumier and Max Prizant.

Lipari was the highest-scoring student out of the 200 competitors.

Three students, Lipari, Gray and Alexis Benedis, were in the top 16 and competed in the Countdown Round.
