Outreach Gallery to show student artwork

The Art Outreach Gallery’s 4th Annual School Art Exhibition will kick off National Youth Art Month Friday at the gallery in the Eastwood Mall.
The exhibition features the artwork of students from Girard School District, Niles School District, Youngstown East High School, Canfield High School and Austintown Watson and Woodside elementary schools.
This is the first of three consecutive arts shows featuring student artwork. The show will run through March 21. The second show will be April 2 through 18, and the third show will be April 30 through May 16.
The schedule of events during the first show is as follows:
6 to 7 p.m. Friday — Austintown Watson and Woodside Elementary School Art Reception.
2 to 4 p.m. Sunday — Canfield High School Art Reception featuring acoustic music by Spencer Saylor, Anthony Kunovic and Jacob Hille, students from the Canfield High School Band.
6 to 9 p.m. March 19 — Niles School District Creative Arts Reception with music by the eighth-grade band students, Niles High School Jazz Ensemble, and high school student solo performances. Niles McKinley High School will have a junior and senior classes fundraiser.
3 to 5 p.m. March 20 — Local High School Open Poetry Slam hosted by Niles McKinley High School. Niles McKinley High School will have a junior and senior classes fundraiser.
All receptions and performances are free and open to the public.
The gallery is located across from Kitchen Collection, along the concourse between Macy’s and Sears.
