Police are still investigating a motorcycle accident that killed a Boardman township man earlier this week.

Charles Mulligan, 48, of Boardman, was killed when the Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was riding Tuesday was involved in a multicar accident. Mulligan was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Detective Sgt. Patricia Garcar of the police department’s traffic division said Mulligan was traveling south on South Avenue when a tan car pulled into his path from a parking lot.

The motorcycle struck the car and was then thrown into oncoming traffic, where it was struck by a second car.

Garcar said Wednesday that Mulligan was thrown into the path of a third car that hit him and dragged him about 60 feet.

Garcar said no charges have been filed, but the investigation is ongoing.
