Two Mahoning Valley organizations get community impact awards

Two Mahoning Valley organizations were among the 11 winners of the Community Impact Awards sponsored by Dominion East Ohio and Inside Business magazine.

Mahoning Valley Organizing Collaborative earned $10,000 for its Vacant Property Campaign, which aims to tear down vacant homes in Youngstown’s Idora neighborhood.

Beatitude House received $8,000 for A House of Blessing, a transitional housing facility for women and children in Warren.
