Hungarian club plans commemorative event

YOUNGSTOWN — American-Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., will be the setting at 2:30 p.m. March 14 for a commemorative event based on the 1848 War of Independence.

The program will feature Leslie Polgar Sr., speaking in Hungarian, and Michael Verich, speaking in English, about cultural events and changes taking place in Hungary.

Model railroad event NILES — Youngstown Model Railroad Association will sponsor a flea market of railroad-related items from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 14 at McMenamy’s, 325 Youngstown-Warren Road.

Admission is $5 for adults, and free for children under 12.
