BOARDMAN — Erin Carvell and Paul Gerhardstein, both of 315 E. Main St., Canfield, were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Oct. 17, 2009, at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.

Ryan Rotuna officiated, and a reception followed at the Byzantine Center at the Grove in Youngstown. After a honeymoon at Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple live at the Canfield address.

Merve and Michele Carvell, 1775 Basil Ave., Poland, are parents of the bride, and the groom is a son of Mark and Marlene Gerhardstein, 3422 Plumbrook Drive, Canfield.

Beading enhanced the bodice of the bride’s strapless white silk-satin gown, and the gathered skirt flowed into a chapel train.

Green gowns were worn by Nicole Hagerty, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Amy Gerhardstein, Christina Gerhardstein, Lacey Hospodar and Michelle Elton. Flower girl was Hannah Hagerty.

Serving as best man was Brian Jones, and groomsmen were Harley Hall, Chris Anthony, Dave Lewis and Chris Carvell. Ring bearer was J.J. Hagerty.

The bride, a graduate of Youngstown State University with a degree in early childhood education, is pursuing a master’s in reading education from Nova Southeastern University. She is a first-grade teacher with Brookfield Local School District.

The groom, a programming engineer with IES Systems in Canfield, earned a degree in electrical and computer engineering at YSU.
