A summary of recent criminal activity in Canfield city and Austintown:

Feb. 15

Furnishing firearms to a minor: Two Canfield male juveniles were charged with delinquency in firearms-related incidents. One was charged with delinquency by way of underage purchase of a firearm and a second with delinquency by way of improperly furnishing firearms to a minor. Involved were a woodstock SKS semiautomatic rifle, and AK-style rifle and a Taurus .357 magnum.

Feb. 16

Public indecency: Four middle school-aged juveniles were reported to have “mooned” a bus of middle school students on West Main Street at Stratford Green, according to a bus driver’s report. After interviewing the students, police determined only one had actually dropped his pants to his knees and fully exposed his buttocks to “moon” the bus, and the male juvenile was charged with delinquency by way of public indecency.

Feb. 17

Drug abuse: A male student at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive, was issued a summons for drug abuse after he was found to have two Clonazepam pills. He had passed the pills to a female student when he was summoned by a school official.

Feb. 23

Criminal damaging: The driver’s-side mirror of a student’s pickup truck was damaged in the parking lot at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive.

Theft from account: A Poland man reported that money had been wired out of his checking account on three separate occasions at T.W. Baird Financial Services, 23 Lisbon Street.

Feb. 22

Telecommunications harassment: A woman is accused of telecommunications harassment at a home in the 60 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Breaking and entering: $375 in a small safe was stolen from ABC Motor Credit, 4508 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Two rings were reported stolen from a home in the 2000 block of South Turner Road.

Drug offense: Police arrested Charles Myers, Jr., 35, of 1190 Locust Street, Canal Fulton, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia at Meridian and Hendricks roads.

Feb. 23

Assault: A male suspect is accused of assaulting another man at the Babylon, 114 Javit Court.

Warrant: Police arrested Tina Simmons-Britt, 34, 4523 Euclid Blvd., on a warrant for theft at her home.

Burglary: The door to a house was kicked in, but nothing was reported missing in the 1000 block of North Roanoke Avenue.

Theft: A gas grill was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Ayrshire Drive.

Warrant: Jason D. Rosendary, 26, 484 Idora Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a warrant charging him with domestic violence.

Feb. 24

Domestic violence: Melissa L. Weimer, 23, 3695 New Road was arrested on a domestic-violence charge at her home.

Drug offense: Police arrested Tammy L. Sharfal, 39, 4545 Plumbrook Drive, Canfield, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arres, and assaulting a police officer at her home.

Theft: A wallet and compact discs were stolen from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Telecommunications harassment: A Web page was created to harass a 15-year-old female at a home in the 1000 block of Country Green Drive.

Feb. 25

Obstructing official business: Police arrested Michael T. Deutschlander, 20, 7939 Herbert Road, Canfield, on a charge of obstructing official business at Rumors Lounge, 104 N. Meridian Road.

Assault: A juvenile was assaulted on a school bus in the 2100 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: Money and prescription medications were taken from a purse at a home in the 3000 block of Meanderwood Drive.

Theft: Miscellaneous jewelry was reported stolen at Austintown Pawn, 3700 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Charges are pending against a male suspect in the theft of $18 worth of items from Dollar General, 1739 S. Raccoon Road.

Drug offense: Police arrested Stanley Wallace, Jr., 27, of 6476 Poplar Ave., Hubbard, on charges of possession of marijuana at South Edgehill and Potomac avenues.

Theft: Money was given to a contractor to remodel a basement, but the contractor never showed up at a home in the 2000 block of South Navarre Avenue.

Feb. 26

Theft: A suspect charged paint supplies to a company at Sherwin Williams, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Feb. 27

Drug offense: Brian Gipson, 26, 1320 Dryden St., Youngstown, was issued a summons for possession of crack cocaine in the 3700 block of Oakwood Avenue.

Theft: $140 in cash was reported stolen at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Theft: A summons was issued for Christopher Lee Pof, 28, 27 Hawthorne, Struthers, in the theft of $5.86 worth of cough medicine at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Domestic violence: Joseph B. Lewis, 43, 1181‚Ñ2 Carnegie Ave., was arrested on two charges of domestic violence at the Carnegie Avenue address.

Felonious assault: A victim was intentionally struck by a vehicle at Marc’s, 4755 Mahoning Avenue.

Feb. 28

Menacing: A man reported being menaced at AT&T, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A house was broken into and items stolen in the 2000 block of DeHoff Drive.

Robbery: Two male suspects took money from a male victim in the 3000 block of Oakwood Avenue.
