Stop enslaving animals

Stop enslaving animals

EDITOR:

Once again tragedy has struck where a killer whale at Sea World killed it’s trainer, and according to Sea World this whale had killed twice before. While I feel bad for the trainer’s violent death, I can also understand the frustration this intelligent animal suffers every day while being imprisoned in a small swimming pool at Sea World.

Think about it: This orca used to call the ocean its playground, where it was able to swim with its close knit social group as far and as fast as it felt like. Then in 1983 it was captured, ripped away from its family and forced to live in a small pool. Can you imagine the terror this animal went through and the sadness it felt from being far away from loved ones?

How dare we deprive these majestic animals of their freedom. How would you like it if somebody ripped you away from your family and locked you up in a small room for the rest of your life?

The time has come to stop the enslavement of wild animals.
