Ohio man accused of locking woman in hot attic

CINCINNATI (AP) — Cincinnati police say a man kept a 59-year-old woman locked in a sweltering attic for three days.

Shawn Lloyd, 25, is charged with a misdemeanor count of unlawful restraint and a drug-related count. He was released early today on $208 bond.

Police say he kept Mary Daniels inside the attic of her home for three days beginning Saturday, a period when temperatures outside were in the 90s and the city was under a heat emergency.

Police say the woman was heard yelling for help and was treated for dehydration. Police are still investigating.
