SOUTHINGTON

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the early Friday hit-and-run accident that killed a 19-year-old Leavittsburg man by sending a vehicle believed to have been involved in the accident to a lab in Columbus for analysis.

A spokesman at the Southington post said the department also has identified the person they believe was driving the vehicle but has not charged the person because physical evidence from the car needs to be tested and analyzed.

Luke Macaluso, 19, of Center of the World South Road, was hit by a car from behind and killed in the 12:55 a.m. accident, which happened a short distance north of his house.
