Pirates fall to Chicago Cubs 3-1

Alfonso Soriano hit two solo home runs and Ted Lilly pitched seven strong innings to lead the Chicago Cubs to a 3-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night.

The Cubs won for the fourth time in 11 games and improved to 3-8 this season against the last-place Pirates.
